As a senior photographer in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas, one of my favorite places for senior photo sessions is anywhere with a natural desert backdrop. There's something so magical and beautiful about the the golden sunlight against the amber desertscape.
The trailhead at the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve offers a great mix of desert scenery with a splash of urban-style, concrete architecture in the visitors area. Just enough to offer a little variety.
I always -- 90 percent of the time -- photograph my seniors in the late afternoon, early evening. We usually start an hour and a half or two hours before sunset. This is when we get the most beautiful, flattering light. Golden hour.
And golden hour was beautiful for gorgeous, golden-haired Kayla. Don't you think?
Are you ready to book your senior session? I generally book 2-3 months in advance, so don't miss your window if you have a specific month in mind. If you'd like to book or have a question, email me. [email protected]
