One of the biggest decisions when getting your senior photos done in Phoenix is choosing a location. Your senior photographer will help you find a location that matches your personality and tastes, makes you feel comfortable, and will look beautiful in your images.
Whether it's a local park, an urban setting with bold murals, a trendy retail center, a junk yard, the desert, or the red mountains of Sedona, the Phoenix area offers plenty of variety.
Here's a quick look at five of my favorite spots.
DC Ranch Market Street. This is, by far, one of the most popular locations for senior and family photos. Located in North Scottsdale, this retail center offers an array of yummy-looking restaurants and fun, boutique-style shops. But from a photography standpoint, there are a variety of concrete walls, stairs, industrial walls and doors, and lots of lines to give photos a modern look. But there are also very natural areas with trees, cactus, and plenty of greenery.
Anthem Community Park. Some seniors like to choose a location that reminds them of their childhood and the area where they grew up. For seniors at Boulder Creek and Anthem Prep, that might mean the Anthem Community Park. Green grass, a bridge, waterfalls, and the train tunnel, are fun ways to document your senior year.
Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon. For with a sense of nature and adventure, the Oak Creek Canyon area in Sedona is stunning. The red rock mountains, the creek, the stone ruins of an old building, and the openness give the photos an Arizonan signature stamp. The results are always stunning.
The Junk Yard. For those who like a sense of out of the ordinary and love lots of color, shapes, and textures, the junk yard can provide an edgy, modern look.
Scottsdale Quarter
If you want a chic shopper vibe to your senior photos, Scottsdale Quarter provides whimsy and fun along with sophistication to offer a wide range of images.
