For those of us in Phoenix, heading up to Flagstaff during the snow season, whether for a photo session or just a visit, is always a treat. With months of 100+ temperatures, finding hats, gloves, and warm jackets is an adventure unto itself.
I grew up in Northern California -- the snow has always been an hour or two drive away. Which is perfect. I don't have to live through chilly temps worry about snow-piled roads and driveways, yet it's accessible enough to visit and be awed by the wintry beauty when the urge strikes.
Northern Arizona is getting a healthy share of snow this year. I recently took my daughter and two friends up to spend the day in the snow and, well, who am I kidding? To take pictures.
Despite these Arizona kids freezing their tushes off, it was a beautiful day.
