In photography, as in life, it is often the case that less is more. Nothing is more true when it comes to a family photo session.
A new client had booked a family session with me and said she had a specific vision in mind. Honestly, when I heard that, I was struck with equal parts excitement and fear. It's exciting to take on a challenge and try to help a client re-create something amazing on their Pinterest board but it's also a bit nerve-wracking hoping to meet expectations.
This Anthem Mom wanted a very minimalist look in black and white. She wanted to frame enlarged individual images of her four kids two by two on her wall. She wanted simple images with plenty of white space.
I scouted out the Anthem area, trying to find a simple, light-colored wall. It was a bit harder than I thought it would be. I didn't want any type of brick or line marks, and it had to be light colored. I finally found the perfect wall in one of the last spots you'd imagine for a photo session.
It was a bit windy but the family was sweet as can be and we had a great session.
When she saw the images, she told me she LOVED them all. And so do I!
